Coffs City Physie

Coffs City Physie is a BJP Physical Culture dance club located in Coffs Harbour, NSW.

With over 130 clubs nationally, BJP Physie is Australia’s longest running and premier Physie organisation.

Founded over 127 years ago as the Bjelke-Petersen School of Physical Culture, BJP has proudly inspired generations of Australians to exercise both body and mind through this remarkable sport.

Physie brings together a mix of styles such as jazz, ballet, hip hop, contemporary, aerobic dance and even yoga. The syllabus is updated yearly and is performed to modern music. It comprises of standing and floor exercises, aerobic warm-ups, basic ballet, and modern dance.

What is BJP Physie?

​Physie (also known as Physical Culture) is the perfect combination of movements designed to increase strength, fitness and flexibility. The benefits for you or your daughter is increased co-ordination, brain development and confidence.

Physie is a sport that fuses dance styles such as jazz, ballet, hip hop, contemporary, aerobic dance and even yoga! Our innovative choreography changes annually and is designed for maximum variety and fun.

CLASSES FOR EVERYONE

Our club is centrally located in the heart of the City at the Coffs Harbour Showgrounds. We cater for all ages and encourage students to pursue individual and team goals. We now have expanded our dance classes to Woolgoolga, supporting our Northern Beaches club members.

★ Preschoolers

Our physie fairies class is a fun way to start dance for pre-schoolers ages 3-5.

Girls will get an introduction to basic physie positions and the BJP syllabus in this 30 minute class.

★ Juniors and Seniors

Our Junior Classes are for girls and teens ages 5-18. Classes are fun and challenging and create fantastic memories.

★ Ladies

A supportive and fun class for all. Our ladies class embraces all that is Physie. Come and join the fun!

Coffs City Physie has the most experienced teaching staff on the Coffs Coast. Our Associates have over 54 years of combined BJP teaching experience.
