More than coding, we are about integrating technology and empowering kids to become makers. We offer after school programs and school incursions.

What do we do?

At code2make, our ethos is to inspire curiosity, creativity and confidence through completing projects based on the children’s interests. More than just coding, we are about integrating technology and empowering kids to become makers.

code2make is set up and led by Kimmy Liu and Iain Morris, both with extensive industrial experience in technology, instrumentation and education. We love to code and we love to tinker.

BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS

Technology needs creativity. So at code2make, we are not just about coding and tech. We are about fostering creativity, and using code and technology to problem solve and innovate. At code2make, we combine different disciplines – like design, mechanical engineering, coding and electronics – together to create something new. We help your kids turn code into real life projects, stories, games and animations, using ordinary objects like cardboard, 3D printing and electronics.

Students can progress from our beginners Tinkerers class, through to the advance Inventors class. Join us to become a tech superstar today.

★ TINKERERS

Year 2 Our Tinkerers workshop is a mixture of ‘online’ and ‘offline’ activities. Our play based learning targets sequencing, problem solving, computational thinking, intermixed with a whole lot of design and creativity. Students will learn simple electronics, block based coding and design.

★ MAKERS

Years 3 – 4 In this course, our Makers will learn the fundamentals of coding, design and electronics. Students will explore a range of software and technologies such as, but not limited to, Scratch, Edisons, MicroBits, Sphero, CAD, and APP Inventor.

★ INVENTORS

Years 5-6 As the name suggests, our Inventor kids will advance and consolidate their knowledge of design, electronics and coding and unleash their creativity on more advance maker projects.

IN SCHOOL PROGRAMS

The team at code2make is well versed in all technology types. Whether it’s Lego EV3, WeDo, Sphero, Edison, MicroBit or Blue-Bots, we have programs to suit your needs.

In the past we have run Gift And Talented Students (GATS) programs at Killarney Heights Public School for Stage 1 to Stage 3.

We have mentored FIRST Lego League and FIRST Lego League Jr teams at both Forestville Public School and Killarney Heights Public School. In 2019, one of our rookie FLL teams even won the “Rising Stars” Judges Award!
