MARTIAL ARTS

Chronicle is home to two of Wagga’s most specialised martial arts, Keystone Jiu Jitsu & Wagga Wrestling Club. Head Coaches Hunter & Mohsen will improve your skills, confidence and fitness in a fun group environment.

★ Wagga Wrestling Club

Introducing Coach Mohsen - Over 28 years of experience in Greco-Roman and Freestyle Wrestling. He is a student of Mohammad Ali Chamyani who is currently one of the coaches for the Iranian National team. Coach Mohsen has travelled and competed around the world as part of the Iranian National teams, Junior and Army Senior. Attaining 8 gold medals, 6 Silver medals and 2 Bronze medals.

Coach Mohsen is also a Brown belt in Judo, with additional knowledge in Muay Thai and BJJ. He has experience in CrossFit and high-level training for Elite Athletes, as well as thorough knowledge of Nutrition for maximum results in health and endurance.

★ Keystone Jiu Jitsu

There are multiple gyms, karate clubs, and football & netball clubs in Wagga Wagga, but there's only one Jiu Jitsu school: Keystone Jiu Jitsu.

Keystone coach Hunter Ford mixes theoretical teaching with hands-on practice, enabling students to grasp the mental strategies and execute the physical techniques with confidence. Private sessions allow individual students to get training tailored to their skills and abilities, whilst group classes provide the opportunity for students to test and grow their skills with each other.

Born and raised in the Snowy Mountains region of Batlow and Tumut, Hunter started Jiu Jitsu in 2008 and has competed in various Australian competitions. He's experienced all the highs, lows, wins, losses and injuries that come with training and competing in Jiu Jitsu, and passionately shares his experience in his teachings.
