Chipping Norton Lake Sailing Club

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 What We Offer Families

Our club focuses on inclusive, community-based sailing for all ages and abilities. We provide junior sailing programs, learn-to-sail courses, coaching, and regular training sessions—perfect for kids discovering sailing for the first time. We also support sailors with disabilities by offering accessible equipment and support boats.

🏆 Sailing, Racing & Fun

From relaxed Saturday races to state championships, the club offers a wide range of sailing activities throughout the year. Events are designed to be welcoming and enjoyable, with many families staying after races for BBQs and social time. It’s not just about competition—it’s about building confidence, friendships, and life skills on the water.

🌊 About the Lake

Chipping Norton Lake is a man-made lake created from sand mining along the Georges River during the 1960s–1980s. Once mining was complete, the area was transformed into a beautifully landscaped space designed for family-friendly, passive recreation. Today, it’s a welcoming outdoor environment where the community can enjoy nature, water activities, and quality time together.

⛵ Who We Are

Chipping Norton Lake Sailing Club Inc. was established in 1995 by local families with a shared passion for water activities. The club was formed to bring affordable and accessible sailing opportunities to the Liverpool community and has grown steadily ever since. We are proudly affiliated with Yachting Australia and operate under recognised sailing rules and safety standards.

💙 Community & Growth

Run largely by dedicated volunteers, the club reinvests in facilities, boats, and safety equipment to keep programs affordable for families. With strong community support and a focus on kids and families, Chipping Norton Lake Sailing Club continues to be a place where children can learn, grow, and have fun—both on and off the water.
