At Bright Smiles we provide specialist learning experiences for students of all ages and abilities. We offer a range of evidence based and multisensory strategies to ensure that we are providing the best opportunity for each of our students to reach their potential.

Our mission is to provide learning experiences that bring smiles to all the faces of our students. We strive to give each of our students the best possible chance to reach the stars and shine brightly in their own unique way.

OUR APPROACH

What is Multisensory Structured Language (MSL)?

MSL is a language based multisensory program that focuses on the structure of language. MSL is an inclusive approach as the teaching and learning suits all students.

The approach is characterised by the following essential elements:

★ multisensory (incorporating visual, auditory, tactile, and kinaesthetic activities)

★ explicit and direct (working one concept at a time)

★ sequential (moving from simple to more complex)

★ cumulative (build upon prior knowledge)

★ cognitive (learning is based on an understanding of language)

★ flexible (programs are individualised, and students work at their own pace)

When students are taught with this specialised instruction this enables the brain to develop more efficient and stronger pathways of learning. As a result, students experience a high level of success which leads to improved confidence and big smiles.

OUR PROGRAMS

★ School Readiness

Bright Smiles School Readiness Program works to support the transition to “big school”. Sessions are filled with fun and engaging multisensory activities.

★ Literacy

Our Multisensory Structured Language (MSL) literacy program guides students of all ages through the critical components of reading and writing.

★ Multisensory Maths

Multisensory maths involves an interactive and hands-on approach. Sessions include the teaching of basic number facts and operations of mathematics.

★ High School and HSC

Take the stress out of HSC. Our therapists are dedicated in ensuring that their students receive the marks they deserve.

★ Dyslexia and Dyscalculia

The use of an MSL approach can significantly moderate the language learning and processing problems that arise from dyslexia and dyscalculia.

★ Speech and Language

Bright Smiles language program is phonetically based. Our program focuses on the structure of language.

★ Early Intervention

Early intervention simply means doing things as early as possible to achieve the best outcome for your child. We will create an individualised plan based on your child's goals.

★ Home Schooling

Looking for online support with your home schooling education program? We can provide extra help and support for you in your additional role as a ‘teacher’.

★ NDIS Participants

At present we are providing educational therapy and extra support for clients who are self- managed or plan-managed.

★ School Holiday Workshops

Fun, creative, engaging and multisensory. All workshops have a focus on building positive growth mindset and self-confidence.
