Blue Mountains Basketball Association

Our mission is to provide a community-focused program that promotes health, fitness, and social development through the positive experience of basketball. We welcome players of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.

As a non-profit organisation, we are committed to instilling the values of teamwork, respect, sportsmanship, and discipline in all our members. Our programs are designed to develop players’ basketball skills while encouraging personal growth and well-being.

We believe in the power of sport to inspire and guide. Our leaders, coaches, and programs act as role models, offering mentorship and exposing our members to the lifelong benefits of basketball—including health, improved interpersonal skills, and even potential career pathways.

We run three separate competitions all year round (during school terms):

★ U10 and U12 – Sat mornings

★ U14-18 – Friday evenings

★ Adult's – Tuesday evening

We also run a number of development programs and holidy clinics for children who are eager to learn the fundamentals of basketball in a safe and supportive environment.

We rely on members of the community to form and manage teams within the competition and as such it is rare that we can place a lot of new individuals into these existing teams. If however, you have a child or teen who hasn’t played before or doesn’t have a team, we have a 'Skill Builder' program which focuses on skills and a social game. The Program’s aim is to keep your child/teen learning skills and playing the game until they are ready to join a team, or have connected with other players in the session to form a new team for the competition.
