Birdwings Forest School is the Gold Coast’s very first Forest School, where childhood is celebrated as wild, muddy, joyful and 100% outdoors. Nestled in the beautiful natural spaces of Kombumerri Country in the Gold Coast Hinterland, we provide unique nature play and outdoor learning experiences that nurture creativity, confidence and connection. Our award‑winning programs are led by qualified mentors who blend forest school leadership, therapeutic practice and the creative arts, creating a truly special place where children learn through adventure, curiosity and play.

🌳 Our Nature Play Programs

We offer experiences for every wild‑hearted child aged 0–12, from nature playgroups to bush kindy alternatives and magical school holiday adventures.

🌼 WildPlay Family Adventurers – A roving playgroup for little explorers and their grown‑ups, filled with seasonal adventures, risky play, messy fun and hands‑on creativity.

🕊️ Little Birdwings (18 months – 5 years) – A full‑day therapeutic program where toddlers and preschoolers play, explore and create outdoors all day, building resilience, independence and joy in nature.

🦎 Adventure Club (3–12 years) – For preschoolers and school‑aged children ready for bigger adventures, with bushcraft, creek play, conservation projects and nature journaling to build problem‑solving and confidence.

🔥 School Holiday Forest School (5–12 years) – No screens, no stress—just cubby building, creek splashing, campfire cooking and outdoor games for carefree, creative holidays full of memories.
