Helping children find a love of language through the creative arts and quality literature.

What do we do?

Big Sky Stories provides the children, young people and their families of the NSW outback a place to gather and be inspired through sharing the world of books, storytelling and creative arts activities.

OUR PROGRAMS

Big Sky Stories has accomplished a huge amount since opening the doors and we intend to continue to help make a difference for the children, young people and families in far west NSW.

We have offered a range of workshops for children, young people, teachers, parents and other community members.

We have created a space for families and caregivers to play, talk together and share stories, providing them a platform to talk about early language and literacy development, the importance of the creative arts and ongoing learning.

We have engaged young readers in quality books and encourage their writing and confidence.

ABOUT US

What We Do and Why We Do It

Out of a love for children, creativity, books and our community we founded Big Sky Stories in 2022 to provide the children and families of the NSW outback a place to gather and be inspired through the world of books, creativite arts, storytelling and sharing.

Through bringing together our collective knowledge, skills and experiences in primary education, early childhood learning, support roles and creative arts education, we want to make a positive impact on this statistic.
