Bathurst Aquatic Centre

The Manning Aquatic Centre Bathurst is located right behind McDonald's on Elizabeth Street. We offer you an indoor facility with a 25m lap pool, program pool and a children's leisure pool with whirlpool and water features!

Outdoors is a 50m lap pool with shaded grandstand area and a grassed area with picnic tables. This pool is open for October until April each summer season.

There is a spa, sauna and steam room for people over the age of 16 to enjoy. We're open seven days a week, and all of our pools are heated to allow for year-round swimming, so you never miss out!

We accept FIRST LAP VOUCHERS, please ask about using them.

★ Babies and Toddlers

Our Splish Splash Aqua Playgroup is for babies from 6 weeks to 8 months and under. It is a non-structured session designed to cater for infant and preschool participants attending with their parents/guardians or appropriate adults carers.

We understand that the thought of your baby swimming can be a slightly daunting experience when trying it for the first time. For the most part there is nothing to worry about as infants can start swimming from birth.

Babies often love to splish and splash, they enjoy getting wet and playing in the water. Playing in the water is an opportunity for your baby to become familiar in the water and to explore.

★ Swimming Lessons for Children

Manning Aquatic Centre has partnered with Swimming Australia to bring you a new and effective swimming and water safety program, focused on experiential and activity-based learning. GOswim swimming lessons empower students to think, discuss and decide whilst having fun in and around water.

The curriculum covers seven areas of learning that are combined and presented as activities to enhance student development. Key learning areas include:

○ Entries and exits

○ Floating and sculling

○ Movement, propulsion and stroke development

○ Personal survival

○ Underwater skills

○ Rescue and emergency

○ Water safety knowledge

★ School Swimming Program

Manning Aquatic Centre offers a wide range of programs for your group or school to be a part of. You can choose from end of term activities through to programs that are energised, alternative and or educational.

We offer school swimming program options that are available and aligned with education requirements for water safety. Programs can be tailored to meet the school's requirements for timetabling, logistics, affordability and curriculum objectives.

★ Go Academy Program

Developed in partnership with industry experts, Go Academy forms a part of the GOswim program. Helping kids across Australia develop their swimming skills at a pace that’s right for them. Here at Manning Aquatic Centre we want to increase participation in swimming in a fun and engaging way!

Research has revealed that thousands of kids stop swimming because it stops being fun. Industry experts and the Go Academy program have developed a mixture of offerings to encourage continued participation in aquatic activity through competitive and recreational lap swimming.

This is an exciting program where kids across Australia can have fun with their friends and improve their swimming in a safe, social and non-competitive environment.

★ Swim Champs Swimming Lessons

Swim Champs is a program designed for children from one year of age through to adults with specials needs. Swimming can be fantastic for children with special needs!

The program is designed to assist students in building greater muscle strength and physical endurance. It also helps with increased flexibility, self-control and water safety.
