Axis Jiu-Jitsu Academy

😊 About Us

Axis of Excellence is the proud home of Axis Jiu-Jitsu Academy Australia, carrying the pure Gracie Jiu-Jitsu bloodline through Takamasa Watanabe and Kron Gracie Black Belt. Rooted in the vision of Master Rickson Gracie and Kron Gracie, our academy focuses on effective self-defence that works both on the competition mat and in everyday life. We believe Jiu-Jitsu should build confidence, resilience, and community—making it a powerful tool for both kids and adults. Families are welcomed into a supportive environment where culture, lineage, and fun come together.

🥋 Gracie Self-Defence

Designed for all levels, this class teaches practical skills through real-life simulation drills. With no sparring, it’s stress-free and approachable, helping students sharpen their abilities while enjoying the process.

🌱 Gracie Fundamentals

Strong basics are the foundation of success. These classes focus on building essential techniques slowly and carefully, ensuring students develop skills that will support them as they progress.

🚀 Gracie Intermediate

For those ready to take the next step, intermediate classes expand on fundamentals with advanced variations. Lessons are structured to flow naturally, making learning simple and engaging.

👧 Gracie Kids

Fun is at the heart of our kids’ program! Through playful games, children learn real Jiu-Jitsu movements without even realising it. These activities build confidence, coordination, and discipline, laying the groundwork for lifelong skills.
