Do you want to connect with a community centre that cares?
SECC is here for you, no matter your age, background, or life situation.
SECC offers support that's meaningful to you.
We combat the loneliness epidemic through dynamic community programs and services.
We offer:
- Weekly Supported Playgroups in various locations including Messy Playgroups
- Parenting courses, e.g. First Aid and CPR for Babies and Children, and workshops to help families manage toddler and child behaviour.
- Support for high school aged kids. SECC regularly advocates for young people in the local community. The centre at Mascot regularly offers a youth drop in, tutoring and mentoring to people aged 12-25 and other programs throughout the year. SECC runs the Managing Angry Adolescents Differently (MAAD) and RAGE courses, which help young people manage their emotions.
Our staff are friendly, professional, and many speak different languages.
SECC is managed by a voluntary board of directors made up of local community members and services and has been operating in Eastlakes for over 40 years.
