- Surf Sydney with Deano - local surf guru, guide and teacher. Sydney born and bred, he has surfed since he was 7years old (so he's clocked 1/2 a century of cruising, carving, and cutting back). From city beaches to secret secluded local's beaches, we know them all!
Whether you're a short boarder, long boarder, stand up paddle border, body boarder, super experienced or just a beginner, we've go you covered.
WHERE WE GO
Your surf location/s for the day will be decided on the morning of the trip, to ensure we find the best breaks for you, and the conditions.
We may travel as far north as Avalon Beach (a fav of Kelly Slater) and as far south as The Farm - and everywhere in between.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
- Return transport to locations of your choice
- Wetsuits
- Surf board (Soft boards only - some hard boards options are available but may incur additional charges)
- Lunch & snacks (full day only)
TIME
- We tailor the pick up and drop off times to suit you. So if you're a dawn patroller, sunset surfer or midday sun worshipper, we'll work with the tides, the swell and your schedule.
COST
Full Day
- $500 for the 1st Surfer
- $150 (30%) for additional Surfers*
Half Day
- $350 for the 1st Surfer
-$105 (30%) for additional Surfers*
OPTIONAL EXTRA
A private presurf stretch & yoga session is option, for an additional $80 (mats supplied)
ABOUT WAVES SURF SCHOOL
Established in 1999, Waves Surf School has offered Adventure Surf Camps and Day Trips out of Sydney for over 20 years.
Owned and operated by Dean "Deano" Dunstone, this father of two teenagers is a qualified surf instructor, professional skater & actor, landscape designer and horticulturalist.
With an amazing rapport with people of all ages, safety is his main priority, yet fun is undoubtedly what he exudes.
Waves have run School Surf Camps with schools such as Barker College, Outdoor Education Group, German International School Sydney, Bridigine College, Brighton Grammar and Haileybury College.
Waves Kids Camp staff all have their Working With Children Check.

*100% credit for class rescheduled by Waves Surf School
*50% refund or 85% credit on cancellations made > 14 days prior to activity - 100% transfer available
*No refund or credit available for cancellations made <14days prior to activity - 100% transfer to another child available
