Overview

    Waves Surf School creates unforgettable adventures for kids aged 9–14, helping them ride the waves, build confidence, and make lifelong memories. Our EPIC 1, 2, 3 & 4 Day Surf Camps are designed for all skill levels—from first-timers to advanced surfers—so every child feels welcome. Held at Boat Harbour Park, a private beach with safe, crowd-free surf spots, the camps combine surf coaching, beach safety lessons, and even skateboarding sessions for a full day of fun and learning.

    What’s Included
    • Expert surf coaching for all levels
    • Boards & wetsuits (if needed)
    • Return transport from Bronte or Ramsgate
    • Delicious lunches & snacks (think BBQs, burritos, or sandwiches with fruit)
    • Skills for life, from water safety to teamwork

    Extra Fun
    Beyond surfing, kids enjoy on-land surf practice with Smooth Star Skate Boards, skateboarding, and scootering. Rainy days don’t stop the fun—we set up cosy shelters and run safe activities, ensuring comfort and adventure no matter the weather.

    Daily Schedule
    • 8:30 am drop-off at Bronte (or Ramsgate option at 9:15 am)
    • 4:00 pm pick-up at Bronte (or 3:30 pm Ramsgate)

Waves Surf School offers Surf Day Trips, Surf Overnight Camps and Surf Yoga Escapes. We have been operating out of Sydney for over 20 years, offering learn to surf adventures for Kids and Adults.


Owned and operated by Dean 'Deano' Dunstone, this father of two teenagers is a qualified surf instructor, professional skater & actor, landscape designer and horticulturalist.


With an amazing rapport with people of all ages, safety is Deano's main priority, yet fun is undoubtedly what he exudes.


Waves have run School Surf Camps with Barker College, Outdoor Education Group, German International School, Bridigine College, Brighton Grammar and Haileybury College.


SURF DAY TRIPS AND CAMPS

Day trips are tailored to first timers and experienced groms.

Overnight surf camps have been created for groms with an intermediate to advanced level.

We loved having him, and we love that he loved the lunch! Beach Burritos are always a Kids Camp Fav! (The other lunch options are pretty good as well, so everyone's tummy always goes home happy)
