Overview
- Wander in Wonder is a bush school, meaning that children and educators are outdoors learning and forming relationships with each other and the world.
We get dirty, we fall, we get bitten by mosquitoes, we climb trees, scramble over rocks and we live in connection to nature. These activities allow us to belong and care for our environment, we are enabled to be ourselves and become who we would like to be.
We gather during the school holidays, in every type of weather, at Cooper Park in Woollahra.
We are looking forward to playing together in the Winter Park.
What to bring
A big morning tea, lunch and a bottle of water as children can become pretty
hungry and thirsty running around all day. Please also pack spare clothes and
swimmers so that the children can get wet and dirty with little consequence if your
child is sensorily sensitive it might be a good idea to pack spare shoes and socks
too. For rainy days a towel makes life a little cosier in between changes.
Where
In the field under the big stairs of cooper park. There is plenty of 2 hour parking at
the end of Kendall St Woollahra. Please follow the road until you reach the field, it is at the end of a Cul de Sac.
When
The program starts at 9am and pick up is between 3-4pm, if your children are
under 5 we recommend picking up closer to 3 it is exhausting having so much fun!
Tips
There will be no official rest time, but blankets and a place to rest will be provided
for anyone that wants to relax. We will proceed in any weather so please have your
children appropriate clothes. Try not to pack anything too precious it’s too easy to
lose things in the park.
