A class for thinkers, tinkers, and makers (Grades 2 to 4). Our iBuild class is a fun group lesson, with the kids working together to construct, design and engineer lots of different projects.
✨ Term 4: Bridgeneering
○ This term, we’re diving into the fascinating world of bridge engineering! We will explore iconic real bridges around the world, uncovering their rich histories and marvelling at the engineering genius behind their construction ○ Together we will build the Sydney Harbour Arch Bridge, London Tower Bascule Bridge, Brisbane's own Story Bridge, and more! ○ We will doscover that because they each look very different, they remain strong in their own unique way! ○ Construct these engineering masterpieces, investigate the science of load distribution, and explore how these structures bear immense weight and withstand the forces of nature.
Students must meet the correct age / grade requirements for enrolling in a class at Flying Fox Studios. Students enrolling in iBuild during 2024 must be attending Grades 2, 3 and 4 in 2024. This is our standard policy across all classes, programs, and age groups. Students that are Grade 2 age, but attending Grade 1 in 2024 will be able to enrol into this age group in 2025. This is a firm policy, and out of age enrolments will not be accepted.

Fox Blocks is an innovative hands on engineering & construction program for kids. Foster skills, knowledge and a love of learning in the areas of construction, engineering, science, math and technology, Fox Blocks is one of Brisbane's longest running STEM focused kids extracurricular activities.

Kindermusik at Flying Fox Studios is a community of families and teachers passionately committed to bringing music to children's lives through developmentally appropriate curricula, CDs, books, instruments, and activities for our classes and for family time at home.

⭐ Holiday Workshops (4 to 17 years)
Come and join the Flying Fox Studios team for a fun, creative and original holiday workshop program. Workshops are offered for a wide range of topics such as painting, engineering, science, design, drawing, and craft.
School holiday workshops at Flying Fox Studios are unique in every way. Over the last 18 years we have developed an original style, where learning and fun are always combined. We explore all our concepts in a creative and hands on way, with experienced educators leading the kids in imagination and discovery.
Across all our workshops, whether it be an art class, an engineering session, or a makerspace workshop, we ensure focus on creativity, imagination, and skill building is central and always fun.
⭐About Us
Flying Fox Studios is a small business that has seen a generation of students pass through since the doors were first opened in 2006.
Our creative team also run an amazing little store on site and online called STEAM Kids, from which profits are put back into development of the programs offered to our local community.
We offer a free trial class in all our term length programs. While not available during the first week of any term, we would love to have you come along and try out one of our fabulous programs.
