Duration: 1.5 hours
Difficulty: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5)
Recommended Age: 5–12 years
Suitable for boys and girls.
🫧 Activity Overview
In this hands-on sensory science activity, children will create their very own fizzy bath bombs, combining creativity with basic chemistry. Using natural, skin-safe ingredients such as bicarbonate of soda and citric acid, students will learn how chemical reactions occur when bath bombs come into contact with water.
Children will mix, colour, scent, and mould their bath bombs using reusable moulds or silicone trays. Each bath bomb will be customised with pastel colours and delightful fragrances. To make it even more exciting, a small waterproof surprise toy will be hidden in the centre of each bomb—adding an element of fun discovery during bath time.
This activity not only engages children through tactile learning and sensory exploration but also introduces basic scientific concepts in a safe and playful way. Once made, students will prepare their bath bombs to take home, and each child will receive a Take-Home Care Card with drying and usage instructions.
