Expression of Interest - Kids Lets Create Art Series of Classes. 2 half hour sessions

Overview

    Hi my name is Candice, owner and principal teacher at Come Pour With Me art classes.

    For all those parents who have children eager to do art on a more frequent basis. I am looking to organise a regular fortnightly/3 weekly group class (between 4-6 children). The duration of each class will be around 2 half hours & will run for 5-7 sessions. I have not finalised a day or the number of sessions. A suggested schedule has been listed but the actual dates will be determined by responses received, but I am thinking of either a Thursday/Friday after school or maybe a Saturday.

    As the exact number of sessions has yet to be determined I am unable to provide the total cost for this event and approximate costs have been listed, it should would work out to to be approx. $75 per class it is on a weekday class or $85 for Saturday. Payments will be set for either the whole bundle or staggered over the term. Please note bookings are not for a one off or a couple of the classes. It will be to register for the total series of classes (approx 5-7)

    For these series of 5-7 classes we will get into a variety of difference techniques/styles such as:

    1. Fluid Art or Acrylic Pouring (2-3 sessions)
    2. Abstract Art - using a variety of tools and materials (2-3 sessions)
    3. Hopefully some Alcohol Ink art work (1 Session)
    4. Christmas Baubles (1 session)
    5. There will also be some fun messy play type activities within the session/s

    In these classes I will not be focusing on the theoretical aspects ie: colour theory, paint viscosity/texture/saturation (materials & tools). Although there might be discussions on these aspects if children raise questions. It is really about getting into the physical activity of art.

    If this initial class class is booked out I do have a wait list and will consider additional class/es if interest demands it.

I have always love to create and get into arts and craft. In 2014 I had my own gift store selling lovely handmade products and unusual quirky gifts. Unfortunately, in 2016 due to family issues I had to close my shop and take some time off.


During 2019 I became fascinated and inspired with the beautiful and wonderful acrylic pouring YouTube videos. I could not resist in getting into this amazing and rewarding art form. I also found it very therapeutic and helpful during stressful times. Which nearly everyone has to deal with in our busy life schedules.


Over the past 18 months, I’ve been excitedly and very happily building up my skills across the variety of different pouring techniques and portfolios of art pieces, which I will shortly be making available to sell. Whilst doing this, the idea came to me that there may be many people out there who would love to get into this art form but are held back from doing so because of the cost of getting the art materials and equipment needed.


I decided, it would be great to provide this opportunity to those eager to have some fun and get into acrylic pouring and produce their own art for themselves or for gifts to friends and family. As such that is how Come Pour With Me was born.


Affordable classes, or workshops for anyone wanting to try their hand at acrylic pouring: without having the expense of purchase all the material, and the hassle of getting all the material out and more importantly putting everything away and cleaning up after.
