Embark on a magical journey with our new illustration course, "Illustrating the Little Prince: A Journey in Art and Storytelling." Designed for youth and teenagers, this course invites students to delve into the enchanting world of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's beloved tale, "The Little Prince."
Throughout the semester, students will listen to the audiobook of "The Little Prince," allowing the vivid sceneries, charming characters, and poignant dialogues to inspire their creative visions. Guided by experienced instructors, they will create seven unique illustrations that bring the story to life through their chosen medium—whether it be acrylic paint, watercolor, pen or pencil drawing, pastel, or collage.
But the adventure doesn't stop there. Students will learn the intricate art of bookmaking, from designing pages to binding them and crafting a beautiful hardcover. By the end of the semester, each student will have a personalized, illustrated book of "The Little Prince," a tangible testament to their artistic growth and imaginative exploration.
