    Paintbox Art School in Buderim, QLD offers joyful, hands‑on holiday art classes designed to spark creativity and confidence in young artists. Our Mad About Doxies – Painting + Pottery session invites children aged 6–14 to enjoy a fun, relaxed studio experience inspired by everyone’s favourite long‑bodied pups. Kids paint, sculpt, and explore their creativity in a warm, supportive environment where imagination leads the way.

    🎨 Our Mission

    We aim to give children a welcoming space to create, experiment, and express themselves freely. Through guided steps, playful techniques, and a nurturing teaching style, we help young artists feel proud of their work while enjoying a memorable holiday activity.

    🖌️ Our Programs

    * Dachshund Painting – Kids learn to sketch the basic shapes of a doxie, then choose between a bold pop‑art style or realistic colours. They explore colour mixing, shading, and expressive brushwork to bring their puppy artwork to life.

    * Clay Doxie Figurine – Children build a cute dachshund sculpture using simple clay‑building techniques. They learn how to shape the body, legs, and head, plus correct joining methods for a secure finish.

    * Holiday Session Details – A relaxed, creative class suited for ages 6–14, including a snack break, optional canvas add‑on, and a friendly sign‑in process on arrival.

    * Teacher – Cheryl, a Buderim artist with a teaching degree, QCT and Blue Card registrations, and experience teaching at Immanuel Primary School, Matthew Flinders Anglican College, and overseas. She brings a warm, encouraging approach that helps every child feel capable, creative, and excited to learn.

The unique program offered at Paintbox provides people of all ages with stimulating art activities during the school term, on Saturday mornings and during school holidays throughout the year.


Paintbox is based on the belief that everyone is an artist with a creative mind, we just need to be shown the techniques to express ourselves individually. Paintbox has earned a solid reputation for offering a well organised, professional and high quality drawing and painting program.


The program has fully qualified and experienced teachers who nurture each child’s creativity by utilising a large range of media with fun and stimulating activities.

ABOUT US


Paintbox has earned a solid reputation for offering a well organised, professional high quality drawing and painting program.


Paintbox Art School principal teacher is Cheryl Nonmus. Cheryl has a Diploma of Teaching and a Bachelor of Education with 18 years experience teaching art in many of the coast's private and state high schools.


​At Paintbox everyone feels enormously proud of their artwork while experiencing real benefits gained during the artistic process and these include:
