- FIVE DAY FOUR NIGHT - SURF CAMP
GISS Surf Camp with Waves Surf School is designed to allow students to bond as a year group, whilst enjoying a true Aussie style beach adventure.
WHERE WE GO
Camps are held in the Pacific Palms area, famous for beaches such as Seal Rocks, Boomerang and Blueys Beach. This region offers a range of surf beaches, that work in different wind and swell conditions - so no matter what the weather, we are guaranteed to be able to surf.
WHERE WE STAY
Nestled amongst the Booti Booti National Park, accomodation is cabin style with bunk beds, accommodating 3-5 students each. The Cabins are a 2 minute walk from Elizabeth Beach.
WHAT WE EAT
Delicious, healthy meals are on the menu all week. Breakfast, beach lunches & hearty dinners.
We cater for Vegetarians, Gluten intolerant, Lactose Intolerant diets.
THE SURFING
Open to all levels, from first time groms to gnarly carvers, kids will come home with a bag of new skills. Lessons will be given on the beach, in the waves (and possibly some days at the skatepark).

ITINERARY (GUIDELINE)
Day 1
12noon- ish: - Bus arrives with teaches and students- Cabins are allocated- Students put bags in rooms and gather for lunch and briefing
1pm- Lunch / briefing- Students receive wetsuits- head to the beach for first surf lesson
3:30pm- Pack up from beach and return to camp4pm - free time till dinner
6:30pm- Dinner
8pm - Night time activity
9pm - Into cabins
9:30pm - lights out
Days 2 & 3
7:30am- Breakfast
9am - head to beach for surf
12noon- lunch
1pm - second surf
3:30pm- pack up from beach and return to camp
4pm- Free time till dinner
6:30pm - dinner
8pm - Night time activity
9pm - Into cabins
9:30pm - lights out
Day 4
As per Days 2-3 till
8 pm - Tidy cabins and pack bags / free time once done
9pm - Into cabins
9:30pm - lights out
Day 5
7am- Breakfast
8:30am - head to beach for surf
10:30am- pack up from beach and return to camp to shower / final pacl
11:30am - lunch
12noon-ish - Return home on bus
OTHER ACTIVITIES
Depending on weather and students some of the following activities will be substituted for some of the surf sessions OR added in as well.
- Volleyball, soccer, footie (on the beach)
- Reef exploration
- National Park and Lighthouse Walk
- Skate park
- Smoothstar surf skating
- Bonfire night
- Sand dune surfing
- Music / talent night
- Onland surf training (Smoothstar)
- Sunset lake expression session
- Sunrise rainforest and beach walk and swim
- Trivia night
NB Not all activities are undertaken on every camp. The activities are dependent on Mother Nature's mood, and the energy and requests of the group.

Waves Surf School offers Surf Day Trips, Surf Overnight Camps and Surf Yoga Escapes. We have been operating out of Sydney for over 20 years, offering learn to surf adventures for Kids and Adults.
Owned and operated by Dean 'Deano' Dunstone, this father of two teenagers is a qualified surf instructor, professional skater & actor, landscape designer and horticulturalist.
With an amazing rapport with people of all ages, safety is Deano's main priority, yet fun is undoubtedly what he exudes.
Waves have run School Surf Camps with Barker College, Outdoor Education Group, German International School, Bridigine College, Brighton Grammar and Haileybury College.
SURF DAY TRIPS AND CAMPS
Day trips are tailored to first timers and experienced groms.
Overnight surf camps have been created for groms with an intermediate to advanced level.
