FREE community event for children: 'No More Bullying'

Gracie Barra Bondi & Mona Vale • Bondi Junction 2022star4.9(View 71 ratings)

Overview

We are excited to announce our annual FREE community event for children: 'No More Bullying'

Date: Monday 29 of Aug to 3 of Sept
    Where: Gracie Barra Bondi
Who: To take place in all kids classes

We aim to bring the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu of Gracie Barra to everyone in the community to make it a safer place for all and minimise bullying.

We encourage all the children to bring a friend for free to join in our ‘No More Bullying’ classes for them to share in this wonderful opportunity and learn some new skills.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a practical and effective self-defense art, especially with a strong focus on anti-bullying. Unlike other martial arts that teach striking, BJJ teaches how to de-escalate a situation and gain an advantageous position to protect and minimize injury.

At Gracie Barra Bondi our goal is to teach appropriate defence techniques combined with simple, yet effective, ways to defuse a potential bully.

We at Gracie Barra Bondi stand against bullying and stand up for our students.

To excel in any endeavour, individuals need to have a strong set of values and a solid character that gives them the perseverance to achieve his or her goals. The Gracie Barra Kids Program was created to provide children ages 3-15 with an environment that allows them to experience and understand core values like focus, discipline, persistence, cooperation and respect.

As a contact sport, Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu provides a very challenging yet safe and caring environment for a child to mature towards a real-life champion. The outcome of continued childhood practise of GB BJJ goes far beyond the accomplishments on the mats. The discipline and excellence demonstrated by our instructors often carry over to the child’s behaviour at home and at school.

Our Kids Program is typically subdivided into four different groups to accommodate students of different ages and skill levels:

Tiny Champions (3-4 Years Old)

Little Champions I (5-6 Years Old)

Little Champions II (7-9 Years Old)

Juniors & Teens (10-14 Years Old)
