Overview

    Create an Anthology Short Film

    **Beginners and Experienced students are both welcome **

    The students will create an Anthology film during the workshop. It is a serious of short (1-2 min) films that link together by a theme to create a larger film.

    THE THEME FOR OUR FILM IS "AWKWARD PARTY"

    ~ There will be a screening of the film at the end of the workshop for family and friends. ~

    INSTRUCTOR

    Aaron Scully has appeared on various film and television shows such as Home and Away, Love Child, A Place To Call Home, Harrow... and more. On top of that he has appeared in over 30 television commercials as the main performer.

    As well as being a working actor, he has also been running regular classes and workshops for all ages at The Hills Drama School that he founded in 2012.

    This workshop will run through everything you need to know when creating an Anthology film.

    What the course will offer:

    ○ Script Development
    ○ Rehearsing
    ○ Creating Characters
    ○ Filming with Direction

    ★ KIDS (7-11 years old)
    11th - 13th January 2023
    10AM - 2PM

    ★ TEENS (12-18 years old)
    18th - 20th January 2023
    10AM - 2PM

Throughout the year students have the opportunity to explore techniques for both stage and screen. This fosters flexibility and confidence when adapting to for both mediums within the acting industry.

We also offer thematic workshops during the school holidays. Each workshop focuses on a specialist topic and is an ideal way to explore a new area, sharpen skills or try something just for fun. Workshops topics will be available a few weeks before the end of term.


ABOUT US


The Hills Drama School Incorporated is a Not For Profit Organisation and was founded by Aaron Scully in 2012.


Aaron's acting experience encompases diverse roles across film, theatre and television and all the skills he has learnt are passed onto his students.


Attending The Hills Drama School is a fantastic opportunity for students to learn and develop performance skills that will increase their confidence, creativity and imagination.


All of the classes and workshops will cover improvisation games & exercises , voice & movement development, script study, acting for stage & camera, group activities and performance presentation.


It's also fun and a great way to meet new people!
