Overview
- Brushes & Bites is a unique program offered by That Kid Thing that seamlessly integrates Islamic teachings with the principles of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). This 90-minute immersive experience is available at our studio, virtually, or through our mobile service.

🫧 Suitable For: Children aged 4-12 (please select the session suited to your child’s age)
🫧 Session Highlights:
• Painting Techniques: Children will explore various aspects of painting, such as colour mixing, different brush strokes, working with paint and canvas, layering, and drawing. These activities are tailored to be engaging and suitable for their age group.
• Islamic Topic: Each session includes an age-appropriate Islamic topic, such as stories of the Prophets or Islamic practices. This topic will be the theme of the painting lesson.
• Themed Painting Lesson: Children will create their artwork based on the Islamic topic discussed, allowing them to explore their creativity while learning about their faith.

That Kid Thing is a comprehensive learning academy designed specifically for Muslim children, offering a unique blend of STEAM-based learning, both online and face-to-face. As facilitators of innovative workshops and activities, we place great importance on fostering social development alongside educational enrichment. Our approach aims to equip children with both the knowledge, and the interpersonal skills necessary for their growth as Muslims in Australia.
