Overview
- "Be a Rock Detective"
Kids will perform hands-on experiments on the rock cycle by making edible rocks while exploring different types of rocks (sedimentary, metamorphic, igneous).
They will also explore the processes of weathering and erosion. Additionally, they will be challenged to create working volcanoes in teams. Once they understand the differences between the various types of rocks and how they are formed, they will explore rocks from around Australia and the world using magnifying glasses.
Finally, they will make fossils to take home.
