Originally known as BHDS, the studio was founded with a vision of nurturing students’ talents while honouring a legacy of community and artistic growth. Now, under the direction of Shannon, a former student herself, The Basement Dance Studios continues to inspire and uplift dancers of all ages.

At The Basement, there’s a class for every interest and commitment level:

✨ Recreational Classes: Perfect for students who want to dance for fun and fitness without the pressure of auditions or competitions. Options include Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, Hip Hop, and Acro—all designed to encourage self-expression and creativity.

✨ Eisteddfod Classes: For those interested in competitive dance, audition-only Eisteddfod classes provide advanced training across multiple dance styles, preparing students to perform at an elite level in a supportive environment.
