5.0Overview
- The surfbus is run by two of Bondi’s finest qualified surf coaches. These epic surfers take groups of groms on Day Surfaris around Sydney's Surf Breaks. With the freedom to move and select beaches, these trips ensure kids are able to surf in the best conditions available on the day.
* Surf coaching for all ages (*intermediate and above)
* Water and Ocean Safety
* Transport on minibus from Bondi Beach
* Recess and fruit will be supplied
* 9:00-4:30pm
HOW WE GET THERE
Each group will be travelling via minibus that seats 12 (10 kids and 2 coaches) that will leave each morning at 9am and arrive back at 4pm.
WHERE WE GO
Each day the surf conditions are changing and every beach is different. We will have researched prior to the day and figure out which beach will best suit the day.
WHAT'S TAUGHT
- Surf and water safety (safety rules including info on rips, tides, sandbars and waves)
- Reading waves
- Catching and paddling for your own waves
- Analysing the best and worst surfing conditions
- Technique refinement and style improvement
- Turning and board control
And much more!
LUNCH will need to be brought.
The PLAN OF ATTACK (8 Hours)
- Meet at Bondi Carpark 9:00am (Park drive behind Bondi Pavilion)
- The group will head off to desired location either north or south of Sydney with the best conditions for kids.
- When we arrive at location – stretch/look over surf conditions and go over all safety protocols.
- First surf session – 2 hours
Lunch
- Second Surf session/beach games, body boarding, body surfing, beach walks.
- Debrief
- Pack up beach
- Arrive back at Bondi carpark 4:30pm (approx).
