    Paintbox Art School in Buderim, QLD offers fun, skill‑building after‑school art classes designed to help children grow as confident young artists. Our After School Kids Art Classes – Term 3, 2026 (Tuesdays & Wednesdays) give students from Year 2 to age 14 a warm, creative space to explore drawing, painting, clay, and mixed media while developing real artistic skills in a relaxed studio environment.

    🎨 Our Mission

    We aim to nurture every child’s creativity by offering engaging projects, supportive guidance, and a welcoming space where students feel encouraged to experiment, learn, and express themselves. Our goal is to help kids build strong foundational art skills while enjoying the process of making art.

    🖌️ Our Programs

    * Drawing & Sketching – Students explore graphite pencils, coloured pencils, charcoal, and watercolour pencils while learning shape, proportion, shading, and observational drawing.

    * Painting & Colour Theory – Children experiment with watercolours, acrylics, colour mixing, brush techniques, and creative styles inspired by cultures, master painters, animals, ocean life, and still life.

    * Clay & Mixed Media – Kids enjoy hands‑on clay projects and mixed‑media activities that encourage imagination and problem‑solving.

    * Tuesday & Wednesday Sessions – Two after‑school options available this term, both offering a 6‑week creative program for Year 2 to 14‑year‑olds. All materials are provided, with a friendly sign‑in process for families.

    * Teacher – Cheryl is a fully trained Visual Arts teacher with QCT registration and a Blue Card. With experience teaching at Immanuel Primary School, Matthew Flinders Anglican College, and overseas, she brings a nurturing, encouraging approach to every class.

The unique program offered at Paintbox provides people of all ages with stimulating art activities during the school term, on Saturday mornings and during school holidays throughout the year.


Paintbox is based on the belief that everyone is an artist with a creative mind, we just need to be shown the techniques to express ourselves individually. Paintbox has earned a solid reputation for offering a well organised, professional and high quality drawing and painting program.


The program has fully qualified and experienced teachers who nurture each child’s creativity by utilising a large range of media with fun and stimulating activities.

ABOUT US


Paintbox has earned a solid reputation for offering a well organised, professional high quality drawing and painting program.


Paintbox Art School principal teacher is Cheryl Nonmus. Cheryl has a Diploma of Teaching and a Bachelor of Education with 18 years experience teaching art in many of the coast's private and state high schools.


​At Paintbox everyone feels enormously proud of their artwork while experiencing real benefits gained during the artistic process and these include:
