Overview
- The quiet ones usually surprise you!
"My child's too shy for something like that."
We hear it most weeks. It is usually the shy ones who get the most out of it.
Karate is not a team sport. There is no bench, no being picked last, and nobody waiting on your child to perform in front of a crowd. They train alongside other kids, but they progress at their own pace, measured against their own last effort.
For a 5 to 8 year old who is still finding their feet, that is the difference between hanging back at the edge and having a go.
✅ Beginners start with beginners. No experience needed.
✅ Small junior classes, so instructors know every child by name
✅ Clear structure, so kids always know what is expected of them
✅ Encouragement over pressure, every single session
Beginner spots at Northern Rivers Shukokai Karate are limited this term.
How it works:
Step 1 – Bring them along for a complimentary class. Watch from the side, no commitment.
Step 2 – If it clicks, move onto the 3-week trial. Six classes to properly find their feet.
Step 3 – Join the club and keep going.
Message us with your child's age and we'll tell you which class to come to.
