Overview

    WAVES KIDS CAMPS
    Open to all levels of surfers - beginner plus to advanced. Kids must have basic surfing experience and must be confident in the ocean.
    The primary focus of the camps is to learn to and improve surfing and ocean safety. Mixed with a loads of fun, laughter and life time memories.

    Camps run with 10min-18max children per trip.
    Appropriate for 9-15 years. (Please get in touch to discuss if your child is not in this age bracket)

    WHERE WE GO
    Camps are held in the Seal Rocks / Pacific Palms area, approx 3.5 hours drive north of Sydney. This region offers a range of surf beaches, that work in different wind and swell conditions - so no matter what the weather, we are guaranteed to be able to surf. Some of the beaches surfed at include - Seal Rocks Number 1, Blueys, Boomerang, Lighthouse, Seven Mile and Elizabeth Beach.

    HOW WE GET THERE
    THE WAVES BUS
    - 20 seat Toyota Coaster
    Drop Off Day 1
    - 9am  (Bronte)
    - 10am (Lindfield)
    Pick Up Day 4
    - 4pm approx (Lindfield)
    - 5pm approx (Bronte)

    WHERE WE STAY
    Nestled amongst the Booti Booti National Park, accomodation is cabin style. The Cabins are a 2 minute walk to Elizabeth Beach.

    WHAT WE EAT
    Delicious, healthy meals are on the menu all week (YES! They really are healthy)
    We cater for Vegetarian, Gluten Free, Pork Free and Lactose Intolerant diets

    NB Not all activities are undertaken on every camp. The activities are dependent on Mother Nature's mood, and the energy and requests of the group.

    THE SURFING
    - All kids will learn about:
    - Surf and water safety
    - Reading the waves
    - Rips & banks
    - Duck diving & eskimo roles
    - Board retrieval & recovery
    - Wipeout techniques

    CANCELLATION POLICY FOR OVERNIGHT CAMPS
    *100% credit for class rescheduled by Waves Surf School
    *50% refund or 85% credit on cancellations made > 14 days prior to activity - 100% transfer available
    *No refund or credit available for cancellations made <14days prior to activity - 100% transfer to another child available

Waves Surf School offers Surf Day Trips, Surf Overnight Camps and Surf Yoga Escapes. We have been operating out of Sydney for over 20 years, offering learn to surf adventures for Kids and Adults.


Owned and operated by Dean 'Deano' Dunstone, this father of two teenagers is a qualified surf instructor, professional skater & actor, landscape designer and horticulturalist.


With an amazing rapport with people of all ages, safety is Deano's main priority, yet fun is undoubtedly what he exudes.


Waves have run School Surf Camps with Barker College, Outdoor Education Group, German International School, Bridigine College, Brighton Grammar and Haileybury College.


SURF DAY TRIPS AND CAMPS

Day trips are tailored to first timers and experienced groms.

Overnight surf camps have been created for groms with an intermediate to advanced level.

We loved having him, and we love that he loved the lunch! Beach Burritos are always a Kids Camp Fav! (The other lunch options are pretty good as well, so everyone's tummy always goes home happy)
