The Basement Dance Studios – Nurturing Talent in a Family-Friendly Environment

The Basement Dance Studios is a welcoming and supportive space where young dancers can explore their passion for performing arts in a family-like atmosphere. Originally known as BHDS, the studio was founded with a vision of nurturing students’ talents while honouring a legacy of community and artistic growth. Now, under the direction of Shannon, a former student herself, The Basement Dance Studios continues to inspire and uplift dancers of all ages.

At The Basement, there’s a class for every interest and commitment level:

✨ Recreational Classes: Perfect for students who want to dance for fun and fitness without the pressure of auditions or competitions. Options include Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, Hip Hop, and Acro—all designed to encourage self-expression and creativity.

✨ Eisteddfod Classes: For those interested in competitive dance, audition-only Eisteddfod classes provide advanced training across multiple dance styles, preparing students to perform at an elite level in a supportive environment.

With a strong focus on helping students grow as performers and individuals, The Basement Dance Studios is dedicated to making dance a joyful and meaningful part of your child’s life. Whether dancing for fun or aiming for a professional career, students are encouraged to set and reach their own goals while celebrating their love for dance.
